Hello!

I am Emily - a CELTA qualified teacher dedicated to helping students and professionals around the world achieve language success.

My Experience

In 2023, I worked in Germany as an English Language Assistant with the British Council. Since graduating from Lancaster University in 2025 with a German and History degree, I have been teaching online. I recently taught English at LILA* college, an independent language school in the UK. I have worked with a range of students from many different countries including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Poland, Spain and Germany. I have experience teaching English from Beginner level (A2) to Advanced level (C1). I have been learning German for 11 years now and have achieved C1 level in the language. I was awarded an A* in my German A-Level and received a 7 (grade A equivalent) in the subject at GCSE.

Lesson Approach

I offer tutoring for English as a Foreign Language and German, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. All lessons are 45 minutes and delivered via Zoom. I tailor my lessons to your level and needs and send materials used after class. I also give written feedback on a regular basis and track your progress. I am a friendly and positive teacher dedicated to making language learning a fun process where you feel confident to speak from day one :)
